The biggest surprise was the vow renewal. My Dad wanted to do something special and knew that my Mom would want to renew their vows so I planned it for him. I found many renewals online and since it is not an actual religious ceremony and family is very important to them, I decided it would be fun to have the grandchildren officiate. When it was time, my husband announced that their was a surprise and asked the guests to come up to the photo backdrop. I got the centerpiece of flowers (which was actually a wrapped bouquet hidden in a vase) and gave it to my Dad. He gave it to her and told her. Actually, I don’t know exactly what he said, but the pictures I got of right after were very touching.
One other fun part, was the photo booth. I printed many of the props from free online sites and made the quotes/bubbles in photoshop. I used spray adhesive to put the printed papers on card stock and cut them out. Then, I used my hot glue gun to attach them to bamboo skewers (I cut the pointy tips off first!)
And at the bottom of this post are some props that you can use to make your own!
It was a beautiful and fun evening with family.
