The crisp air, crunching underfoot and beautiful gold, red and orange colors backlit by the sun. Autumn is truly a beautiful time in Pennsylvania. I love to get out and explore with my camera. Winter is beautiful (but just way too cold). This year, the leaves seem to be slightly later than normal, which is good for me, as I have been a little busy.
I love to decorate my home for the changing seasons. There are years that I don’t get to it and times that I only do a few things, but that’s OK. I feel that any little thing that you do makes your home more enjoyable for your family. That’s what homemaking is about. I don’t tend to go too overboard. Just changing my pillows, flowers, candles and a few vignettes. It’s supposed to be fun, not stressful!
This past year, I put up a grid of floating glass frames that I got from Target. (I took pictures of this process when I did it and will show that sometime). I love the flexibility of them. I can change my photos easily and change my gallery themes frequently. I found these leaves that I had pressed last year and decided to arrange them in the floating glass. I also spelled out LOVE in the middle. No glue, just placed them in between the two pieces of glass. I really liked the way it turned out. So I thought I’d share. On a few of the leaves, I traced over the veins with metallic sharpies. It made them pop just a little more. Hope you are enjoying your fall.
