The last few months, I’ve had a new addiction…macrame.
Talk about an easy craft that requires inexpensive supplies! I can’t believe I didn’t try it sooner. I guess because I was a child of the 70’s and it seemed outdated. But now, it’s everywhere!
With the knowledge of a few basic knots, the possibilities are endless. My first projects were some plant hangers.
Then I tried some bracelets (along with some posey charms that I found on clearance at Tattered and Torn).
Then, I made my first bigger project- a wall hanging with regular old string from Wal Mart and a branch from my white birch tree. This hung on my living room window for about a month, while I worked on it very s l o w l y.
Every day, I’d tie a few on. Very relaxing!
Here’s the finished result:
This week, I made another hanging planter. I’m planning on making some for my porch before summer.
Hope you try something new this spring! Share what you are inspired by currently.
Happy Spring!
